I know this is a blast from the past,
But this was referenced in a recent thread and I had not seen this one.
I just wanted to add that you did a fantastic job on that Saya Ralph.
You did mention metallic flak in the finish, Did it turn out well?

I had handled an older sword that had abalone nacre in the clear coat finish on the Saya and I thought it was so beautiful. I tried to duplicate it but stopped when I found out you need acids to clean it to get the visuals on both sides when flaked.
