I purchased this sword for my father-in law at an estate sale. I would like to be able to tell him what it is. The lady said it was a WWII Japanese sword with a blood line on it?

it is a japanese Arisaka bayonet , markings show it was madeby an unknown company under the supervision of the kokura arsenal , hope this helps ,

Japanese but used by different countries Finland amongst them (in the Finnish civil war in 1917). The bayonet is late 19-th century i think.
