    Fortunately I am on high ground!! the whole state has been flooding rain all week so I am playing with my camera and new toy.Thought I would post some pics.Although they don't have the visual appeal of the earlier swords,I still find them interesting and pick them up when I can if they are in good condition.
    This one was produced close to the end in Feb of 1945.

    Something I have been wondering is with this being a machine made blade would the smith sign the piece for accountability reasons? as in meeting a quota? or just being patriotic? I don't think it would be because of the quality.. when you wipe it down you can feel the ripples in the steel.
