Default IJA Rice Bowl & Chopsticks

I hope I'm not too far off base here, but I have an IJA rice bowl with original IJA issued chopsticks. This bowl is not a very high quality piece of porcelain but I am interested in your opinions. The inside of the bowl has a pretty big set of imperfections/inclusions under the glaze. I have only ever seen one other set of WW2 IJA chopsticks and they were identical to these. This set was acquired from a veteran.

    Default Russo-Japanese War Sake Tray

Got this a little while ago. I like the shape. Didn't realise it was from the Russo-Japanese War until I saw an item in this thread. Been working on my kanji since and with the help of the JiShop application and jisho.org believe it reads the following:

    SEIRO War with Russia
    GAISEN KINEN Triumphal Return Commemoration
The name is tough, think it is an abbreviated KAKUI.

    Cheers,
    Tony

Matsui means Pine Well [as in water well] .... note the name is framed within two long-leaf pine needles.

Thanks for the input Guy, and the observation re the pine needles. I got fixated on it being a square hence after a lot of time going for Kakui! Is Matsui the maker then, and not the present giver? There's nothing on the back.
