Some Fans
Hi all,
I wasn’t sure where to put this so you can move if needed. I just wanted to show off a couple of fans my granddad brought back with him from Japan after the war. The large one is hand painted and is made of lacquered wood and silk I believe, and the smaller one is made of wood and silk with a printed flower. Enjoy
Very nice. My wife still uses these fans. They work great in the summer time when it's hot and muggy

It is amazing how they would make it so un-Japanese to appease export needs. They look totally American in taste.
Thank you. I need to put them behind glass in a shadow box or something, time has made them quite fragile
