Thank you all I know nothing about unit numbers etc. I was hoping someone who is into that aspect of research might have some additional info regarding the markings in the crown of the helmet. They appear to be the kanji for the number 2 over the Arabic Numerals 5767 ??? Any help appreciated,Regards,Geoff

Here's a little information on these. Japanese helmet, machine gun damage, japanese text inside cloth cover, translation?
Note the anchor mark on the liner band. Kure naval base?
Hope someone can help with the numbers.
