Tom's Yard Sale Sword

Hi Guys,

Tom's still working on his "Cosmoline" sword photos so I thought I'd start a separate thread for his other sword which I'll refer to as the "Yard Sale" sword. As you all know taking blade pics isn't easy so I'll start with two of the nakago and when others come available will add to the thread for him.

Anyone able to assist with translation till then, please and thank you?

Nosyu jū Murayama Kaneshige kitau kore
This was forged by Murayama Kaneshige, resident of Noshu [modern Gifu prefecture]

Thanks much guys. Where would I find out about Murayama Kaneshige? The guy I purchased this sword from said when he was a kid he would chop trees and stuff. I cringed when I heard that. R/ Tom

Murayama Kaneshige is listed as a "chu-saku" (mid-level made) smith. His civilian name was
村山 重明
Murayama Shige'aki.

That's about all I can find on him.
