Hi guys I have type 30 bayonet which unfortunately has been kept in a shed or the likes for years, the good news is that the blade has been protected and is almost in mint condition considering the circumstances.
I know where/ when and who made it.
The only thing I cant seem to find out is what the numbers( 1 over 33) on the scabbard stand for, is it simply the date January 1933 since it’s an earlier type scabbard with the ball on the end.
It also has some interesting scorch marks on the front tops of the wooden grip plates, don’t know what has caused these.
As always thanks
Rod
