    Great! there was a style named by either Dawson or Fuller that had a custom fuller groove. But better pics are needed. I also have a battle ready katana

    You are probably thinking of the Arsenal Blade, or zoheito on Ohmura's site 造兵刀 Army Arsenal blade

    Out of time for now, but will check Dawson & Fuller references later.

    There is a resemblance to the OP blade, but like already discussed, there are issues that make it hard to say for sure.
