I though it would post these, I was given these by someone I work with in Japan, who had found them in the family home. I'm sure some of you will find these interesting.
A collection of war time newspapers that cover the advance through South East Asia.
I haven't had time to take a good look at them and work out all the dates, sadly I do not speak Japanese, but I'm hoping with the date and pictures I can work out the main stories.
This one though is a 2 page pictorial of the paratroop landing on Celebes in the Dutch East Indies in Jan '42
This is the surrender of Singapore.
Here is another, showing maps of both the Philippines and Malaya
Hopefully I will get some time to study them better this weekend and I'll post a summary, some are very fragile so I want to try an protect them.
