My Italian Wall Banner

I'm pleased with my Italian Wall Banner.

It seems that these are quite unusual, with most having the coat of arms being oriented horizontally to be flown as a flag rather than hung vertically as a wall banner. Everything about it is just right from the construction and texture to the aroma. It was clearly stored carefully when not flown and has not received the attention of the moth.

Very nice banner!

If you weren't aware, Italian flags with just the scudetto (shield) of the House of Savoy were meant for civic duty... Being flown/ hanging on government buildings, etc.

Flags with a crown over the shield were used exclusively by the military until 1946.

Thanks for your comments, Joe. I did know that but ones like yours seem to be like gold dust! Yours is superb and one like it is certainly on my shopping list!
