It's Italian Infantry , made of brass it was used for shoulder boards by nco's and or's. they were attached by the three metal hoops in the back. not sure of dates used 20s through to 30s?, If you see the same badge with a number in it that would be a hat Badge (Pith helmets,M16 helmet) Also it has 2 prongs in the back to secure it .
