SS Italian medal?

Hello,

I came across this SS medal that I've never seen before, is It original to start with?

I understand that the Legione SS Italiana was only constituted as the 29 Waffen-Grenadier-Division der SS by an order dated 10 February 1945, which may bring into question why that designation appears on a medal dated for 1944. I take this information from Sergio Corbatti and Marco Nava's book Sentire - Pensare - Volere: Storia della Legione SS italiana. I can seen on page p. 258 that there is medal of some sort associated with the Italian Legion which is the same size with the same hanger for the ribbon but has a quite different design to the one shown here. I'm afraid I can't give much more detail as I can't read Italian.

Sorry guys this is a fantasy fake. This medal didn't exist pre 1945 . Some say it was made for veterans after the war but I can't find any proof of that.
