    I know its not German, I got it with a Brit mess tin today, the guy was insistant that I have it and tried to give me a civy pot as well?

    It is Italian WW2 mess tin we found such in Kurland.

    Guys,

    Thanks for info, I will go Itailian as I am fairly happy it is not German any period.

    I have a few post war German and they are identical construction to war time, I even have a TENO HRE 36 war time dated lid on a tin that is clearly post war.

    Could it be moved to the axis forum please.
