Hello,
I agree all with OldSteel, the interior paint is gray/green original WW2, dark green external color indicates that the helmet has been re-dyed and used by the Italian Army in the postwar period.

Hi Morris,
I read now the excellent responses of other friends who have written; reuse in the post war by the Spaniards or the Italians are two possible hypotheses.
However, if it comes off at a good price is still an interesting helmet, M33 helmets with original components of the WW2 period are now quite rare.
