Very nice buckles David....Yes, certainly a different eagle on these examples - I'm particularly attracted to the eagle head!

Yes, the "heads high" eagles are special...in my book more desirable, but thats just my taste

David, I like these buckles!

The eagle appears somewhat baroque and the shape of the swastika irritates the observer a little bit.
Can envisage that an unpractised eye is unsure, if these buckles could be a fake.

Thankyou chaps and yes, a very unusual SA buckle in many ways.

It is a rare and seldom seen design and as Guido has suggested, a strange eagle and decidedly "old" looking.

Perhaps in the past being ignored by collectors as being "fantasy".

If ever you see one - buy it !!
