Article about: Here's my second new addition from today: a new 'dog head' SA buckle. My other example has the 'ugly claw' type claw arrangement, but this one has the standard prongs.

Thanks, Ben! Mine is almost identical to that one, except for the silvering on the roundel. Most of the 'dog head' buckles that I've seen have these same sort of very pointy claws.

Not forgetting the close proximity positioning of the two solder points (reverse) and the centrally positioned swastika (obverse), when compared to "other" buckles.

Besides the obvious design differences, the solder points really stick out as unusual. They're not only closer than on other buckles, but also a bit off-center in relation to the 'half moon' catch.

By the way, sorry about the terrible photos. The light was poor at the time I took them. I will take some scans soon to show the details of both buckles that I bought yesterday.

I do like the way the the swastika is centered. Another nice addition.

    Thanks, guys!

Markus, that is an excellent buckle! I've never seen one with a rotated swastika before. I think that yours is far less common than the sunwheel.
