Default SA belt buckle with markings

Hi, I am a new collector on WW2 items and I stumbled across this belt buckle at an antique shop.
Know very little about these, but know there are alot of fakes. However I took a chance anyway.
Markings on this one is Dr F & Co. The catch on this is quite unusual compared to the SA buckles I have seen on this forum.

Is this a real or fake item?

I have never seen one like this real or fake, if real would be fantastic, pebbled front, maker marked and ugly claws but for me mate the buckle is a fake and welcome to the forum

Welcome to the forum. I would guess fake. Ben have never seen one and it looks like a bad attempt to cast a SA buckle, including the claws and "hinge". When looked at closer, many things look strange on this buckle.

Thanks for the welcome I have been browsing through this site for hours now. So much interesting details and information.

I got the fake feeling myself, when I could not find a buckle that matched this.

Only two things I could find. Looks like the one on the left middle:

Mine eagle has fatter legs it seems.

The underlining between the r & o is at least correct from what I read, but that is the only thing I could find.

I also bought a enamel pin/mark , 4 cm wide, with "deutchland über alles" and the swastika in the middle. Apparently the buckle and the pin came from a photographer I was told. Hopefully at least this is real.

It's not so much the claws of the eagle. It's the two spikes on the hinge i am referring to and i am sure this was what Ben also meant about "claws"

I too believe this to be a fake. The catch hasn't even been completely drilled out.
