SA Buckle

Article about: Pardon the cell phone photos. Came across this buckle yesterday. I like it from the front but the box looks new and the prong bar looks mint. Thanks for any opinions.

    Hard to say from the pics Kirby, but from the make up it looks like an original buckle but better pics would be needed

    Maybe unissued? i can't see any scratches/wear around the belt catch!...

    Dear Kirby

    In my opinion this is a rare design SA roundel to an original buckle which is in quite splendid condition.

    One that I would dearly like to add to my SA collection.

    Some better photos. I wonder if the box is fire gilded? It is brighter than my other SA buckles. Kirby

    Nice buckle Kirby and a good find, the prongs look like the ones used on some of the early Overhoff or Berge & Nolte
