This buckle appears to be SA not sure they can not identify and do not know if it is original. I and opinions of experienced specialists. Thanks in advance for the forum staff!

Can you get closer pics of the markings? I have never seen a buckle like this in this configuration, the emblem looks like what has been called the " Danzig SA", however I doubt an early buckle like this would have RZM markings on it!

I'm leaning towards reproduction/fantasy....the construction isn't very convinicing imo.

Good evening
I saw this buckle at german Ebay and it was deleted because of the "wolfsangel" I think!
IMO a fantasy buckle!

A fantasy piece using the Wolfsangel-and-SA-symbol device for the SA-Standarte Feldherrnhalle. (example: Axis History Forum • Information )
An extremely interesting buckle, however like most, I think that it is a pure fantasy item. The point to this response is the box, or rather the stampings on the reverse lip of the box. I know of several styles of brass box which are stamped with the Assmann logo, DRGM 36. In addition, the position of these three marks change from time to time and also on occasions, they are supported by a stamped RZM logo and odd stamped in numbers and letters. There is I think still an element of debate about the validity of Assmann logo and DRGM 36 stamped buckles and all I would say is - beware.

David
