Shame it was a fake, this type of Buckle I like it. I will keep looking, at least this thread, hope will be of use for someone who faces another one, Regards, Juan
Dear Juan
My apologies for the delay in response, however I am currently living in China which has a time zone, 8 hours ahead of the Canary Islands.
The second batch of images are not ideal, although much better than the first and they do provide what I for one was looking for.
As others have confirmed and which I now support, the common cast fake I am sorry to say.
The replication of the male die defect can be clearly seen, however and more importantly, signs of a casting process to various parts of the buckle.
Thankyou for obtaining the additional images.
Regards and best wishes,
David
Hope all is going well over there David

Hi Ben, the same seller that I bought today from the SS RODO Buckle sells this SA Buckle. Let s see if I learnt something from this great thread. I think that this one is a very nice one, Regards, Juan
Yes mate, nice original buckle
Ben
It has the proper defect in the wing. Here is a couple, one with the original dull grey finish. They take on a shine after the finish wears off.
Regards ,
Markus
