Re: SA buckles marker up for diskussion
Perhaps I may chip in with regard to the second layer of this thread which refers to the pebbled aluminium buckles. Both the buckles shown are in my collection and have been for some considerable time, although I was pleasantly surprised to see them posted by another member.
The first buckle posted is nickle silver and not aluminium.
I have two such aluminium buckles and they are accordingly attached.
The issue is description as I think that they have no connection with the NSFK whatsoever. In my opinion, these pebbled SA's and which often have a green paint finish, are SA "school" related and probably, motor or leaders. Not NSFK and instead, belonging to the SA.

David

Re: SA buckles marker up for diskussion
Dear Markus
If you like (as I do) unusual markings on SA buckles, perhaps I may have your thoughts on this one? Do you recognise the makers logo?

David

Re: SA buckles marker up for diskussion
Dear Markus
May I suggest that you have a look again at the 4 buckles that you originally posted as I do not think that they are all exactly the same. It is difficult to ascertain from the images, however perhaps there are at least 2 types of roundel designs here? There may be at least two different styles of the eagles head and actually other detail. Perhaps not, although I have attached some images to illustrate the point.
Regards,
David
