Sa with marking

Hello ,

for a lot of time i found this SA buckle .

It is in brass with silver paintet outside .

The buckle is marked in side partition RZM 36 .



A second Exemplar from this arker in nickel plated and

double marker stampings .

Early RZM 36 and later RZM M4/30 for Berg & Nolte



I'm interest for opinions on the silver paintet SA ......

Nice to see these buckles again and posted here on this forum. Again, and as with many of your buckles, I am quite envious!

I cannot really add anything more than previously discussed in the other thread, however the paint appears period to my eyes. Painted SA's are extremely uncommon in my experience and whether this was an original factory-application is, I think, highly debatable (and to my mind doubtful...) It is interesting that the paint appears solely applied to the obverse with no traces on the back or ears. This is bordering on the edge of my SA knowledge and so I will leave more of that question to David or one of the other members.

Yes...great buckles! I am particularily drawn to the double markings! That is not something you see every day! Very cool! Thanks for sharing.
