A small tribute to the SA buckle...

Article about: Although perhaps more accurately referred to as "NSDAP Jugend", here along side of his "big brother" SA is a recent 35mm addition.

WOW Adam,, what a great thread,, and all the buckles that everyone contributed. Would it be possible to list the dates of manufacture for the SA type collector,,so as to match the collectors collection? For me it would be helpful as I collect SA daggers..but dagger production went from 1933-42. The changes we see on these daggers due to material usage,,i was wondering if it was the same,, for the Buckles,,and what styles were used,,in accordance to SA years. Best Regards Larry

Larry, would be nice in theory but there are that many variations in SA buckles I doubt very much you could time frame them with style, wheel, etc, would be fantastic if you could

Here is my example, a pretty common one I assume, Does anyone know why some have the eagles head above and some below the wreath? is it time frame specific? Thanks.
