Great buckles David. One hardly can find any information about the straight winged buckles.
In uniform-booklets always the regular SA types are shown, but I have one such booklet, which
shows a straight winged one, but with sunwheel swastika.
This is the drawing as included in: "Abzeichen und Dienstgrade der NSDAP und ihrer Untergliederungen"
(Entwurf und Zusammenstellung nach parteiamtlichen Angaben), 1934.

Many thanks for the input guys and very interesting. So Wim with a date of 1934 very doubtful these ever had a chance of being early/first SS?

yes, it is very doubtful this buckle version was the early and first SS, as the SS buckle is in the booklet also
as a drawing. The motto for the SS buckle was there when it was designed and finalized for the Overhoff-
concern!
