I bought this piece recently for little money as the seller thought it is a copy.
What do you think, guys, a good deal?

Guido

It´s a copy. For example the Swaz looks very bad, the agle is out of line etc ....

Dear Guido
In my opinion, 100% original, nickle silver SS buckle.
Possibly heavily renovated and with the feature of possibly a non original pin, pin shroud and claws.
Having said that "a good find".
Do the ears of the box have a slight horizontal line (striation) ?

As Post Scripto, perhaps I am showing the "same" buckle here?
Note the very distinctive style of the Fraktur letter "T" on the declaration motto.

David

David are you sure they are the same type buckle the wings look different and the M is way off. Gary
Hello Gary
I am not sure and that is why I included the caveat of "...perhaps I am showing the "same" buckle...".
It is so difficult to make an accurate like for like comparison on two remote buckles when there are so many influencing features to include condition and wear, metal surface colour, lighting, angle of photograph etc., etc.
I have cobbled together a few more photo merges for detail comparison. Let me know what you think.
Regards,
David
