    Hi Guys

I think I remember reading somewhere that some officers preferred the Heer version as it stayed secure and didn't come undone as easy in combat conditions

    Cheers

Nick, at a certain rank SS EM could or were entitled to wear officer rank belts, there is a thread some where that Ade commented this on, hopefully he will read this thread and let you know

This gentleman is Hauptsturmfuhrer Gross welcoming new recruits of a Totenkopf Panzer-Kompanie to the Weimar-Buchenwald barracks in June 1942

Hi Nick, I definitely aren't the man to ask - I don't even know what he should be wearing. However if he's missing a particular buckle could it have been down to supply issues due to the war?

Good point Matty but 1942 is probably a bit soon for shortages
