This buckle is a cast repro.
Apart from general details of the eagle design, markings, belt catch that are wrong, you can see the typical surface bubbles left during casting process.
The best way to detect a fake is to know well original buckles, materials, markings.. the way of knowledge is long my friend..

It is a fake but it is not the cast fake, this is a steel folded fake, either way it is a fake, bad ear, bads prongs, bad catch, bad everything, look in the fake SS EM thread, there are lots of these in there, also have a read of this thread if you are unsure of buckle terminology
