Could have been Jo, very hard to say, I would say that some did for private use around barracks but nothing official

This SS belt buckle is polished chrome to break , in my eyes post war

The buckle is genuine but in order to chrome metal you have to polish it up to a mirror finish thus taking away the detail of the wreath around the Swastika or it could have been worn before it was chromed with heavy combat use.
