Yes, the 36/44 marked buckles are rare, years ago I could buy one to M Verstraete , but finally did not buy it
I have in my collection this steel Overhoff marked GES.GESCH.

Ivan, that is a spanking buckle, soooooo rare its unreal, most people on here would not even know this buckle existed (yes I am excited) lol

Another variation or a factory mistake. I forget who posted the nickel SS with O&C ges gesch stamped on the front of the buckle.

Gents food for thought, we have always thought of the unmarked buckles as late war, with these marked Ges gesch for me I would say they are made earlier going by the history of markings against buckles,, so are the unmarked ones still late war? Again just a little info to mull over!

@ivanjoaquin , a very rare interesting buckle .

But Overhoff IMO the biggest maker from Lüdenscheid is known for many variations .

I know this also by SA/NSKK buckles .

Actualy i found a nickel over brass Overhoff with RZM UE 71 ........., never seen bevor
