SS Belt and Buckle with photo of SS Mann

This is one of my favorite items. The belt and buckle are in excellent condition, and the best part is the photo of the man it belonged to posing with a buddy, signed by him on the back in Riga, 1944. Written in pencil, his name is Karlis Janums.

You are a lucky man Max, I think it is cracking that you can put a face to the owner of the buckle, and I suppose if you wanted maybe even track his career where he went etc

Thanks again Ben. It's so hard to track an SS man's record if he was not an officer because those records are not kept here in our National Archives, and the German's are very touchy about war related records, especially SS.
