I found some years ago this SS buckle

Can you send your opinion about it (fake or original?)

Leather without marking, on the rear of buckle there is : RZM 36/36 SS

Meclan, from the colour of the buckle I would say it looks like a moulded fake IMO. You probably know that SS buckle never came with tabs attached to them, there originals out there whose owners have had them put on during the war years, I would like to see better pics of the markings to give you a better answer

This is an original unmarked O & C SS I used to own unitl I sold it what an idiot I must have been

I prefer aluminum, but I am not such a specializing in that area. If I'll feel it's good-I'll take it.
Very hard to tell you about the originality of the item by your picture, Meclan. Can you make some of the closeups?

I see a little totenkopf ??
Is that right ?
If so then probably fake.
Because this was not done with beltbuckles.
Only on leather fieldgear for the ss vt truppen.

There isn't totenkopf in ss buckle, only marking : RZM 36/36 SS

What i meant was the totenkopf inprint only is on leather items like on ammobags and y-gurt items.
But since there is no totenkopfinprint this is not the issue.
I thought i saw one.

Hi Meclan, would it be possible for you to take pictures like mine? That would give us a better indication to whether the buckle is original or not. The tab may be original and sewn on later, initially these buckles never had tabs on but some owners had them put on

No there isn't totenkopf on leather items. When I bought bukle 5 years ago it seems to me original but fakes are so perfects.............
