This is offered for sale on eBay. Listed as a SS ground down for soviet use during war. The reverse Swazi is also ground down. It has RZM and SS marks on back. For some reason I couldn't save the reverse image. The price is $62 . Would you buy this?

Well it is an original for sure, and cheaper than a non-relic one. Dunno about the "grinding down" story, could also been worn for years and years in a Russian POW camp.
Thanks, but the swasi is ground down on the back as well. So it's not just from wear.
If you like the buckle then you should bid on it. Personally I wouldn't buy it because I don't collect denazified or relic condition items. If I had gone out and dug the item up myself I might feel different.
All the best
Thanks for the reply, Kirby. Still though, $62 isn't bad for a real SS buckle imo
Could be an aged fake too. The 'ground' area looks fresher than the rest of the buckle. Shouldn't ALL the buckle be aged the same after all these years?
Pics of the rear would tell all to be honest, even at $62 if original in that condition, not for me but if you like it and it turns original then buy it
