    This one is is better condition, I assume the prongs and prong sleeve have been replaced at some point?

    Ben buckle is exactly the same condition as it was found ..

    Mmmm I wonder if it had a replacement prongs and sleeve at some point in its life? (before it was buried)

    Ben, were steel buckles made with aluminum prongs, or were they usually all steel?

    Could have been made with a aluminium prong sleeve

    I don't know Ben, but i saw several zinc buckles with AL prongs and sleeve
