    Hi Markus,

    As a rule, the green backing is for Waffen SS, Algemeine SS was black and SS Polizei was field grey. Although I have seen a black backed Algemeine SS belt that was retained for wear in the Waffen SS when the owner transfered to that arm.

    Wilco, I had an identical one of these sets many years ago,and it,too,did not have the size stamping on it. And it was brought back by a vet that I personally knew. You've got a Very nice belt and buckle! William
