I have a Schmol and Comp. Heer buckle that is plated. I originally thought it was done post war but I have come across several identical buckles at the SOS and Max shows. I would want see more than one plated RODO before giving it a chance.

In the past I have also seen a couple of nickel plated buckled, Heer ones, a 155/43 SS, a luft buckle. To me they have either been done by the owner and used for parades or done post war. I suppose very hard to determine at what point they were actually done. If they did a batch of these I would assume that collectors would have seen more than this one by now. Again just my opinion from years of observing and looking for buckles. Overall a interesting and very nice buckle

I've got a nickled B&N, and who really knows when it was done. I'm sure soldiers did it during war time, but sure it was also done post war to pretty up a buckle... I didn't pay a premium for this one so I was happy to have it...
Thanks Ben , beautiful buckle Lenny I like this one !
