SS Belt Buckle RZM 36/39 Overhoff & Cie example, Shrapnel damage to the end that has been bent back into place, bar lacks prong fittings! Does this looks like Original pre-1945 example?

Damaged as is, is this buckle worth anything? $150 maybe?
Could this really look like the damage from the shrapnel or was it faked?

I would presume the damage is original, why damage a buckle to lower its value? It does not make sense, as to value it will get as much as what someone is willing to pay for it, I would not buy a damaged buckle but that is me. If you sold it start it at $150 and see if you get any takers
