Hi Ben, thanks fine... I'm back again from my Expedition journey to the former Pommern today Poland.. you know looking for relict's like buckles etc..but nothing.. So my friend.. I've to buy the buckles..that's hard but true.

A friend of mine has dig out a Luft buckle made of Zinc.. nice item..

Although I collect german militaria in general, I have a small collection of buckles as well. I also like to collect dug buckles as well. We'll have something to talk about, definitely


PS - I've added a picture of my buckles taken 2 years ago, now it has doubled.

I've found a lot of buckles..maybe 150 buckles like HJ, Heer, Luft, SA etc..

but most were denazified.
This year I've only found a handful.. I think, the good times are gone..

in your opinion why so many denazified buckles? I believe that it was a common practice in the POW camp?

Now I am very interested in political buckles, and I am always interested in DJ and Youth buckles, just in case :-)

Yes this is the reason.. It was forbidden by allied law, to wear items with swastika.
I'm searching in the POW camp called "zone F" in North Germany.
