1) Kradspam kicked it off so he gets to display it I guess.
2) I agree that it is an absolute extravagant use of time, money and overstretched international postal services for sure, but a bit of a laugh in an all too serious world......

I reckon it's a bit of fun mate, I suppose we all volunteered to pay for postage etc... So Krad could go ahead with it so why not? I suppose it is also a fun way to show a glimpse of our lives to other forum members, we've already seen Stonehenge, some lovely countryside, a German war cemetery in the UK amongst others. Maybe I lead a boring life but I'm enjoying watching its journey around the world, I'm looking forward to sharing pics of my backyard when it gets to W.A.

Nothing that could compare to what you have in Europe Kris, you'd be bitterly disappointed!lol Dan could take some pics of Kings Cross for you maybe, that's our national red light district! I remember years ago some coppers from Kings Cross went on a study trip to Holland to see how the Dutch manage their red light districts and when they came home they said we don't have a problem here!

The 1000 post helmet was confiscated...for a while;

By a felllow who claimed he was Canadian and liberated the area I live now in 1944!
He passed it down to his mate...who took of his own helmet of in order to see how he would look with a German helmet on his head!
