2 Luftwaffe Helmets in Classifieds

Hello guys,

Up for your review are two Luftwaffe Single Decal m40s that I am planning to list in the classifieds. First I would like to get your opinions. Click on the images for greater detail.

1) HKP64 SD Luftwaffe M40, lot number 866.

Both helmets have dome stamps, the first helmet dome stamp is very faint, impossible to photograph, and here is the dome stamp on helmet 2, ET68:

If i was going to raise anything it would be the liners, i will have a think for a while.

I'm not entirely sure about that liner in the HKP, but they both look good to me in general. The HKP Luftwaffe paint has that classic deep patina that those get. The ET would fit my huge head and I'd love to have it!

Dust goggles and the goggle box look French.

Both liners are original, both bands are dated and maker marked, difficult to photograph, and have the cutter reference number on their reverse of the leather. Both have age, they are not mint, and reflect the condition of the helmets. These helmets were probably factory pick ups or rarely worn, hence the condition.

The goggles I think are period German Mountain trooper, not French. Added to the helmet by the collector who sold the helmet to me. I like to keep helmets how they are when I receive them, so the goggles were kept on the helmet. Unfortunately, I think the goggle's strap messed up a near perfect decal oh well, it is still a nice helmet lol
