    OOPS, sorry Doug, I misread your post, thought it said that your wife gave you the helmets for your birthday. Rereading the post I saw that she gave you the MD's finger in your butt so PLEASE don't tell her about my birthday in August. My own wife gave me the exact same thing when I turned 50. John

    I will do a detailed thread soon on each helmet.

    For the record they are;

    Luftwaffe Normandy Camo, M42 NS66 D539 44 dated liner unmarked or illegible strap RE: Bottom picture

    Heer Winter Camo Medic, M42 EF68 1815 or 1915, typical crap EF stamps, 40 dated liner shortened strap

    SS depot reissue SD, M40 Q64 T4114 but its hard to read the exact lotnr with the overpainted skirt, a beautiful named 41 (?) dated liner and Inneburg 41 dated strap

    all liners original, strap added to the Heer Winter (the original was damaged and broken).

    Once again, I will detail each helmet later as time permits. Just wanted to share with my many friends opening my birthday presents.

    I was hoping for the Ring of Power so I could travel to New Zealand and toss it into a volcano but I guess there is hoping for next year...

    BTW, I am not posting these to just to gloat....its my birthday and for my birthday my wife bought me a complete physical at the Dominion Health Center (she must want me to stick around a bit I guess). So seeing as someone shoved their finger up my butt today I feel entitled to have some fun a bit...haha

    Once again, Doug, your wall o' helmets has blown my effing mind.

    You must have paid a fortune for these new additions. I don't even know which one is my favorite. The Luftwaffe is such a perfect example of a Normandy camo, but the allure of the SS keeps calling me to its decal. The Heer is not only a snow camo, but a medic to boot. If someone came up to me with these three helmets and told me that I could have any one for free, I am pretty sure my head would explode.

    Next time, just please photograph the helmets in a different room. I am dying here. You can't keep doing this to me man.
