Battle damaged helmets

A few shots of 3 relics I just received. Some major blows to some of them.

No these were found by Evgenij a well known digger in the Kurland.I believe this type of damaged is caused by explosion or sharpnel from mortars. The bullets do a different type of damage usually round holes...

Hi luis,
the third pic down is the most interesting to me, I collect battlefield relic helmets also. I have a helmet very near yours,
i think if you look you will see that the pattern of the hits are from an m.g, as they are very close together, one has come out sideways. but they have been fired from below the other side lower than the ear. I have a H/J helmet that has M.G, fire with five shots through the rear skirt, from the front. great helmets i think

Bullet damaged helmets that I have seen have round entry points and usually big exit ones,,since Im not expert you could aslo be right
