Burlap/hessian camo
Hey guys,
Not sure if I'm posting in the correct area, but I was after some information regarding the use of burlap or hessian as a form of camo during WW2 by the German soldier. Can anyone tell me if there was a particular campaign this camo was used for? Was it a common form of camouflage?
I've read that it was quite popular with coastal troops, but not sure how true this is.
Thanks guys

Re: Burlap/hessian camo
I'm sure I've seen a SIGNAL magazine photo of hessian covered helmets in Russia in the Summer?

Re: Burlap/hessian camo
Here one found in Normandy in a farm.
Most collectors stay away from this type of camo.

I think these KM artillerymen may have burlap covers on their helmets.
