It would be great for a re-enactor if this is a genuine shell, seeing as its been missed about with anyway the shell could be restored to as issued condition and a then fitted with a new liner and chin strap. However as a collector piece its worthless, I have to agree with Ade, I bet if you bought this you still be able to smell the new paint.
