    Ludendorff got a bee in his bonnet about painting everything official around July'18 depends what you believe or study Phil. there is a reference regarding the black line paint 2 kilograms being enough per 1000 helmets 5 kilograms each for ochre, green and brown. Yes I've been thumbing through Baers lol! again!

    Thanks for the comments, guys! I ended up picking up this helmet myself here in North Carolina. I've got a couple of great helmets in Utah as well. I'll round them all up with the rest of the herd in Pennsylvania in the coming weeks and get you folks an updated photo of my own wall o' helmets.

    Also no worries Eric, I like my helmets looking and smelling like they came straight out of the attic.

    Very unique helmet.....even more uniquer is the information you got to go along with it. Doing the research and uncovering some of the past is half the fun!
