Article about: Got 'em Kris! I don't see any problems with that lid! Second opinion is always good though just to make sure. Good luck! Rob

An uncle of mine served in the Phillipines during WWII and picked up a couple of Jap swords. He traded one for a nice M42(?) double decal Heer that looked brand new, probably unissued. He let me play with it as a kid. Years later when I learned the value of such things I tried to find out what happened to it but nobody knew. My hope is that it has a nice home in a collection somewhere. If only I had known!

Double Decal M42.....It must have been a combat police helmet! I'm still looking for one of these myself. Unisssued: whoa.....
Oh: I just saw the question mark after the M42.....in order for it to be a DD M42 - it would have to be a combat police helmet.

If it had army decals and tri-colour shield - it was most probably an M35

    Cheers!

Yes it was a Heer eagle and tri-color shield. Still a nice lid don't you think?
