Chicken wire helmet opinions

Article about: Hello, i just bought this helmet and would like to have you opinion about it this helmet was found in a barn some month ago in the area of the ardennes and used as a bowl to mix concrete ! w

    I agree with John. Heavy wire=period. Light twisted wire=modern.

    hello and thank you to all your inputs !i really appreciate it .

    i think i'll remove that net and let the thicker one in order to return to his "original" state.

    i didn't pay much for that relic that's why i took the risk !still a nice relic of a famous battle. will display well with my ground dug relics.

    here in europe a lot of german stuff were use to make nasty task ! unfortunately a lot of nice stuff were ruined like that

    some helmets are even used to empty septic tank... i prefer concrete
    i have a luftwafe bowl that was also used to mix concrete !
    some tunic were cut into piece to clean things or used as working cloth
    one of my grand's father friends used to gut goar with an ss dagger which is totally destroyed :'(
