Hi, I can't see any big red flags on either of them myself, but I do not know about known fakes of these except for the LARSEN ones that you see everywhere. Leon,

    Hello,
Thank you for you comment Leon. Almost 100 viewers and only one comment. Wow...
Sorry guys they're not camo helmets, just chinstraps.
    Thanks

As sold by Warhats.com... Not that it proves that yours is a repro, but the one in the attached image certainly is.

Here's a list of common fakes, but they don't mention Larsen, strange as it's pretty damn common

Buckles look good and they dont have the telltale "fuzz" the edges of repros have but what i think is fine others have said no to. Good for a M42 helmet.

    Hello,
No i dont. Even when i bought them 15 yrs ago, they didn't smell leather, i perfectly remember checking this before buying them...
    Thanks

That's a good reference point, and in this case clearly shows that the "5" and the "1" on the original examples posted differ from those on this known fake in style. I still think they are good originals that JPhillip has. Leon.

I agree with Leon on the numbers not matching. Even the cut of the leather is more refined on the original post. Bob
