Nice result and well worth the time - it looks far better now.

What did you use - acetone?

I have helmet painted similar and have been thinking about removing the horrible black paint on it.

I just used a can from a hardware store called paint stripper and it's in a can, I tried acetone and it wouldn't take off the black and silver paint at all. The spray bubbles up the paint and you can just wipe it off and the paint stripper wouldn't strip the original paint off thank god I don't know why though.

If you get the paint stripper make sure you don't leave it on to long because it may eat the original paint, it didn't on mine but just be cautious! Good luck!

Looks great without that crappy paint. Please be careful if you are using a chemical paint stripper, use proper hand and eye protection and use in a well ventilated place!..
