Now to show you all what a real camo looks like. This IS real, several experts have had it in hand (not me, as I own it )
It really is a sweet one, named twice, once on the lip, and once inside at the top.

We are the Pilgrims , master, we shall go
Always a little further : it may be
Beyond that last blue mountain barred with snow
Across that angry or that glimmering sea...
Excellent!!!
wow that is sweet john
John-
great helmet. I have noticed that the majority of camoflaged helmets have the owner's name written in the skirt. I presume the reason for this was these were turned in at a depot where helmets were painted enmasse. I have also noticed that helmets that appear to be field painted often lack this feature.
BOB
LIFE'S LOSERS NEVER LEARN FROM THE ERROR OF THEIR WAYS.
Thanks Bob, and to the rest also. I suppose that theory is right Bob, maybe why it was named twice? Just a thought.
I've always believed this to be a KM lid, anyone want to throw any theories out? I'd be intrigued to know. There's not much left of the decal, It's an ET shell so it's plausible.
I could take some micro shots if it would help?
Thanks again. I like it
